Wanyonyi at his private offices today, the CBO leadership expressed their gratitude for his continued support and vowed to rally behind him as he prepares for his second bid for the governor’s position. The Luhya Base Mathare CBO, established in 2020, with a membership of over 1,000 members plays a critical role in empowering its members through various welfare programs. Westlands MP Hon. Tim Wanyonyi officially inaugurated a free medical camp this morning at the Hindu Council of Kenya (HCK) offices on Kusi Lane, 3rd Parklands. The camp, held on Sunday, September 15, 2024, in conjunction with Bodykraft Medical Center, saw more than 1,000 patients receive various health services provided by a team of medical specialists. In his remarks during the inauguration, Hon. Tim Wanyonyi commended the Hindu Council of Kenya for their continued partnership and dedication to serving the community. “Hindu Council has been our partner in many things. During COVID, they helped us with food for the community, among other things. Westlands and other parts of Parklands will benefit from this program,” said the MP. Azimio leader Raila Odinga receives National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula's younger brother Fred Wetang’ula to the Orange Democratic Movement on January 17, 2023. Opposition party Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) is a proud outfit after garnering massive support from Bungoma County.   In the last elections, Bungoma county overwhelmingly voted for Kenya Kwanza with its Governor, Ken Lusaka, being fronted by KK affiliate Ford-Kenya led by National Speaker Moses Wetang’ula. In the past elections, Bungoma has been voting alongside other Western Kenya regions in favour of Raila Odinga after the death of former Vice President Kijana Wamalwa. Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu Governor Waititu has been barred from accessing the county offices until his case is concluded. Together with his wife Susan Wangari, Kiambu County Chief Officer for Roads and Transport Luka Mwangi, six county employees, a businessman and his wife have been charged with various counts of conflict of interest, dealing with suspect property, money laundering and abuse of office.He is supposed to deposit his transport documents with the court.The court releases him and wife on a KES 15 Million cash bail More to follow.
