Tim Wanyonyi Leads ODM, Raila in Bungoma 'bumper harvest'

Azimio leader Raila Odinga receives National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula's younger brother Fred Wetang’ula to the Orange Democratic Movement on January 17, 2023. Opposition party Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) is a proud outfit after garnering massive support from Bungoma County.   In the last elections, Bungoma county overwhelmingly voted for Kenya Kwanza with its Governor, Ken Lusaka, being fronted by KK affiliate Ford-Kenya led by National Speaker Moses Wetang’ula. In the past elections, Bungoma has been voting alongside other Western Kenya regions in favour of Raila Odinga after the death of former Vice President Kijana Wamalwa. Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu Governor Waititu has been barred from accessing the county offices until his case is concluded. Together with his wife Susan Wangari, Kiambu County Chief Officer for Roads and Transport Luka Mwangi, six county employees, a businessman and his wife have been charged with various counts of conflict of interest, dealing with suspect property, money laundering and abuse of office.He is supposed to deposit his transport documents with the court.The court releases him and wife on a KES 15 Million cash bail More to follow.

Bomet Governor Joyce Laboso Dies Aged 58

Governor Joyce Laboso Bomet Governor Joyce Laboso died on Monday afternoon at Nairobi Hospital while undergoing treatment for an undisclosed condition. he succumbed at the Nairobi Hospital aged 58 years, family sources confirm. Governor Laboso was under medication two weeks after arriving from India from London where she had been hospitalised. Earlier today, the hospital announced that she had been put under bed rest under the close attention of doctors. On July 14, 2019, Bomet Deputy Governor Hillary Barchok urged the residents to stay calm and pray for her recovery. The Governor’s ailment has remained undisclosed. Dr Barchok had urged the nation to respect her privacy. On May 29, Governor Laboso left the country for Britain for treatment. She was admitted at the Royal Madden NHS Hospital where she underwent treatment for nearly a month. She was then transferred to India for further treatment three weeks ago.
